WELCOME TO THE GAINESVILLE VETERANS VILLAGE

The Gainesville GPD Program provides transitional housing and supportive services for Veterans experiencing homelessness in Alachua County, Florida. The program is designed to help Veterans stabilize, rebuild their lives, and prepare for independent living through safe housing, structured case management, and individualized support. Program fees are based on income.

Focused on housing stability, wellness, and long-term independence, the program offers life-skills development, access to community resources, and coordinated care tailored to each Veteran’s needs. Through a supportive and goal-oriented environment, the Gainesville GPD Program helps Veterans progress toward successful community reintegration and independent living.

  • In-Service and Post-Service Referrals
  • Therapeutic treatment for Veterans recovering from substance disorders

Who can qualify for this program?

  • Must be a male, 18 years or older
  • Must be a Veteran with General, Other or Honorable Discharge
  • Must be homeless or in danger of becoming homeless
  • U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA)


What are the requirements to remain in the program?

  • Remain clean and sober
  • Be engaged in finding permanent housing
  • Attend all medical and behavioral health appointments
  • If applicable, pay program fee monthly
