The Gainesville Bridge Program GPD Program provides effective transitional housing that focuses on providing short-term shelter to veterans in need while quickly facilitating their move into permanent, stable homes.
Bridge Housing is a crucial transitionary step that aims to minimize homelessness while maximizing stability and integration for veterans.
Veterans can stay in the program for up to 90 Days.
Who can qualify for this program?
- Must be a male, 18 years or older Must be a veteran (meet applicable GPD Veteran Status and homeless definition)
- Must have a permanent housing intervention in place (HUD VASH, HUD (Section 8), or other permanent supportive housing (SSVF)
What are the requirements to remain in the program?
- Remain clean and sober
- Attend all medical and behavioral health appointments
- If applicable, pay program fee monthly
