About the Miami GPD Program for Homeless Veterans

The Miami GPD Program for homeless Veterans provides transitional housing and comprehensive supportive services for Veterans experiencing homelessness in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The Miami GPD Program is designed to help Veterans stabilize, rebuild their lives, and prepare for independent living through structured housing, case management, and access to clinical and behavioral health services.

From the moment a Veteran enters the Miami GPD Program for homeless Veterans, they receive individualized support tailored to their needs. This includes life-skills development, wellness support, and resource coordination, all aimed at helping Veterans achieve long-term housing stability and greater self-sufficiency.

Who can qualify for this program?

  • Must be a Veteran with Honorable, General or Other Discharge
  • Must have had 1 day of active duty
  • Must be homeless or in danger of becoming homeless


What are the requirements to remain in the program?

  • Remain clean and sober
  • Be engaged in finding permanent housing
  • Attend all medical and behavioral health appointments
  • If applicable, pay program fee monthly
