Press Release: Major Furniture Delivery to Innovare, Affordable Housing Complex Marks Milestone for Volunteers of America of Florida

St. Petersburg, FL – FEBRUARY 7, 2024

The spirit of community and collaboration shines brightly as Volunteers of America of Florida (VOAFL) celebrates a significant event in their mission to provide affordable homes.  On February 8th, 2024, VOAFL will receive a massive delivery of six truckloads of furniture at the newly opened Innovare Apartments – a dedicated affordable housing complex in St. Petersburg. Innovare Apartments is unique, even among affordable housing options, by integrating units that cater to extremely low-income households.

This notable milestone has been made possible in part due to the substantial discounts of over $38,000 provided by Kane’s Furniture, showcasing an exceptional commitment to the cause. Despite this generous support, there remains a crucial need for additional benefaction to fully realize the vision of making Innovare Apartments a welcoming home for its residents.

Call for Donations: Paving the Way Home

VOAFL is reaching out to the community to rally further support through the “House 2 Home” campaign. Your donations will serve as the finishing touches that transform these residences into places where stories of new beginnings are nurtured.

With the remarkable head start granted by Kane’s Furniture’s discounts, every dollar donated towards the House 2 Home campaign will be amplified, stretching further in bringing comfort and dignity to Innovare’s new residents. You have the unique opportunity to ensure what arrives as furniture leaves an indelible mark as a home.

Seeking Partners in Change

We invite all community members, local businesses, and philanthropists to join this cause – your compassion can elevate a simple space to a sanctuary for someone in need. No gesture of support is too small; all are significant strides towards our collective goal of compassionate assistance.
