Ocala, FL — Volunteers of America of Florida (VOAF) invites the public to participate in Swing Fore Heroes: Restoring the Ritz, a charity golf tournament benefiting homeless veterans in Ocala through the Restore the Ritz Capital Campaign.
The event will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, with a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start at Ocala National Golf Club (4782 NW 80th Ave, Ocala, FL 34482). Registration is $100 per individual or $400 per foursome. Proceeds will support critical renovations to the historic Ocala Ritz Veterans Village, a transitional housing program for veterans.
According to the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, an estimated 32,882 veterans experience homelessness on any given night. Restore the Ritz aims to address this urgent need by raising $3 million to enhance the historic property, allowing it to serve up to 46 veterans at a time with safe housing, case management, mental health support, substance recovery assistance, and employment training.
Tournament participants will enjoy 18 holes of golf, cart and swag included, along with food, awards, contests, and prize drawings. Sponsorships, donations, and corporate partnerships are also available.
By participating, supporters are not just playing golf; they are helping restore a historic landmark and rebuild lives.
