Volunteers of America of Florida Joins Give4Marion to Support Veterans Experiencing Homelessness in Marion County
Ocala, FL – Volunteers of America of Florida (VOAF), a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to helping vulnerable populations across Florida, is proud to announce its participation in this year’s Give4Marion initiative on September 16-17.
Give4Marion is a community-wide giving day designed to celebrate the generosity and spirit of Marion County residents by supporting local nonprofits that make a meaningful impact. VOAF will be highlighting its Restore the Ritz campaign, a transformative project aimed at ending veteran homelessness in Marion County.
Currently, many veterans in Marion County face the heartbreaking reality of sleeping in cars, tents, or on the streets. Restore the Ritz is committed to providing safe, supportive housing for up to 50 veterans at a time, along with essential services including behavioral and mental health counseling, substance use recovery, peer mentorship, and case management services to help veterans secure permanent housing and employment.
“Veterans have sacrificed so much for our freedom,” said Stephanie Vranich, VOAF Restore the Ritz Campaign Lead. “Through Give4Marion, we hope to rally the community’s generosity to provide them with the care, dignity, and hope they rightfully deserve.”
Volunteers of America of Florida invites all Marion County residents and supporters to participate in Give4Marion by visiting Give to Volunteers of America of Florida | Give4Marion on September 16-17, making a donation, and sharing the message to help increase awareness.
