Expanding Veteran Support: Volunteers of America of Florida Partners with The Home Depot Foundation for New Transitional Housing for Formerly Homeless Veterans

WHAT: Volunteers of America of Florida (VOAFL) is pleased to announce the purchase of a new property to provide transitional housing for unhoused veterans.

On Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., we are delighted to partner with The Home Depot Foundation and Team Depot, Home Depot’s associate volunteer force, to refurbish the newly acquired property.

Our collaborative efforts with Team Depot will focus on cleaning, painting, and organizing each room to create an inviting space for incoming veterans. This initiative prepares the rooms for the first round of veterans moving in and transitioning out of homelessness.

We express our gratitude to The Home Depot Foundation for their generous funding and commitment to this project, helping us provide comfortable living quarters for veterans needing support.

At VOAFL, we believe that every veteran deserves a safe, secure home, and continue to work tirelessly toward this initiative. The impact of this project will increase our ability to serve those who have bravely served our country.

For more information about this project or to learn how you can support our initiatives, please visit our website or contact our media representatives.
