Volunteers of America of Florida’s own Nancy Ortiz, Program Manager of our Punta Gorda Veterans Village, was recently featured on the Rally Point USA podcast, where she shared how our transitional housing program helps Veterans move from homelessness to stability and independence.
Nancy talked about how the Veterans Village offers apartment-style housing, case management, mental health support, and connections to jobs, benefits, and community resources—along with powerful success stories, including Veterans who have gone from living in their cars to owning their own homes.
She also highlighted our ongoing need for food, basic household items, linens, and hygiene products so Veterans can move into their new homes with dignity and the essentials they need.
We are incredibly proud of Nancy and grateful for her dedication to the Veterans we serve in Charlotte County and across Florida.
