The Florida Dream Center

VOAF & FLDC

Volunteers of America of Florida has officially acquired the Florida Dream Center, expanding its reach and deepening its commitment to restoring hope, stability, and opportunity for individuals and families in need. Through this acquisition, VOAF is strengthening and enhancing programs that address housing insecurity, recovery, and overall well-being.

By bringing FLDC’s community-based outreach model under the VOAF umbrella, the organization is increasing access to supportive services and creating a stronger, more unified approach to serving vulnerable populations across the region.

The Florida Dream Center is a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt, faith-based nonprofit dedicated to bringing resources and support directly into at-risk communities. Its “boots on the ground” approach was developed in response to service deserts identified across Pinellas County. Through hands-on, community-centered programs, FLDC promotes stability and self-sufficiency for individuals and families throughout the region.

Founded in 2012, FLDC has partnered with local organizations, government agencies, churches, and schools to address critical needs related to poverty, hunger, economic inequality, community revitalization, and employment. Its programs are designed to be consistent, accessible, and rooted in collaboration, empowering neighbors and strengthening communities one person at a time.

FLDC’s leadership envisioned an outreach-driven organization that blends volunteer engagement with social services to meet the needs of the county’s most vulnerable populations and create lasting, positive change.
