Tampa, FL — Volunteers of America of Florida (VOAF) is excited to share its groundbreaking 2024 Annual Report, showcasing a year of resilience, hope, and impactful change across Florida. Highlighting personal stories of recovery and renewal, this report underscores the organization’s commitment to providing essential support and housing to the state’s most vulnerable populations, including veterans, seniors, and individuals facing homelessness.

The 2024 annual report shares the inspiring story of Sara, a VOAF beneficiary. Facing the challenges of manic depression, Sara found solace and expression through writing, culminating in a local book signing event organized by VOAF that celebrated the release of her new book. This event, and Sara’s journey, underscore the profound impact of VOAF on lives, reminding us of the importance of providing platforms for stories of hope and recovery to be shared.

Moreover, VOAF proudly manages 11 affordable senior living apartment communities, offering over 1,000 apartments to seniors with limited incomes. This focus on independent living with supportive services marks a significant stride in our mission to ensure every person we serve feels valued and respected.

In a year that presented numerous challenges, including severe storms and the ongoing need for behavioral health services, VOAF has remained steadfast. Our commitment was further validated by earning the prestigious Joint Commission Accreditation, reflecting the quality and dedication inherent in our services.
