SSVF Ocala Program Overview

Ocala SSVF provides temporary and supportive services for Veterans and Veteran families with low or no income. The goal of the program is to promote housing stability through assistance and support services to homeless persons or those at risk of homelessness.

Funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs, the SSVF (‘Supportive Services for Veteran Families’) Program was founded upon the principle that every Veteran has a right to housing. By providing support at a community level we can end homelessness among the Veteran population. Through the provision of outreach, case-management services, assistance in obtaining benefits and emergency financial resources, the SSVF Program seeks to prevent Veterans and their families from becoming homeless and to rapidly rehouse those who have lost their homes.
